GC being produced!
FINALLY! My CG is being produced. Find all the info about my case below:

AOS - marriage based to US citizen
Adjusting from J1
Local office: San Francisco, but case was later on transferred to San Jose, CA, where I had my interview.
PD: July 2018

August 2018 - ready to be scheduled for an interview (it just took a month)
December 2018 - received first EAD
August 2019 - interview scheduled
September 2019 - interview (not approved on the spot, white paper given)
November 2019 - second EAD (I also applied for AP at the time)
January 2020 - I-130 approved + RFE for I-485 (new medical and court document. The RFE was sent from the local office)
February 2020 - sent response to the RFE
May 2020 - Advance Parole approved on the 8th, Green Card approved on the 13th.

The whole process took 22 exhausting months. I’m happy to answer any questions!

I raised 1 service requests after my interview (in December if I remember correctly), and their response was that USCIS has 120 to review my case.

I raised 2 service requests after I sent the response to the RFE (one in March and one in April). Both times they said my case was “actively being reviewed”. And yes, my case was outside normal processing by then.

Little tip from me: many of you don’t notice it, but when you get your EAD or combo card, it comes attached to a white paper that has a bar code. That paper is used to expedite your card renewal or replacement. If you have to renew your EAD/combo card, please, send a copy of that paper with your application! I did it and I got the actual card in a month and a half. Without that paper, you might have to wait 6 months to receive a new card (the receipt notice works as an extension, but if you want to avoid issues at the dmv, renewing your license, it’s better to have the card).
