Got 10 yrs multiple entry for parents
My parents aged 67 and 58 went to chennai consulate interview on wednesday 7th june and got 10yr visa.My brother is there in Texas for a project from Infosys.They went to US 2 yrs back for 6 months but that time they got only 1yr.
we took all documents as per this site and i've prepared sample questions for them to go thru..
questions asked were:
1.which visa ur son is in?
2.did u enjoy last time?
3.how many months u want this time?
4.why would you come back from US?
after this she told my parents enjoy go and pay the fees...
my parents experience after 2 visits to the consulate is if ur having all proper documents they don't unnecessarly trouble u with questions..for people whose docu r not perfect some officers were helping them to write down what all documents they should bring next time for the interview.we were actually looking for malayalam interview but since dates were not avlble i took english .my father was able to manage.only thing was we were tensed whether we will be able to understand their accent.but after interview my mother was saying that the co(lady)was asking them in such a way that even she could understand and answer her questions...so guys if u don't get ur regional language don't worry they know parents usually worry about their accent...so they will speak were carefully so that u can always understand.also some co's were talking in tamil and other regional languages.
we collected the passport from chennai vfs on friday evening between 4 to 5.u can track ur passport delivery by sms or in vfs site and go and collect the passports with all hdfc bank reciepts ,issuance fee reciept and ur interview letter.
