Got 5 yrs visa for self, wife and son
My wife and I appeared for interview at Abu Dhabi embassy on 11 feb 2007.
Visa officer took our finger prints and asked my wife to go back to waiting area and started taking my interview. Just to mention that I have already been to US in 2002 and to UK in 2006 (both time for 1 month). My wife and son did not get visa when I applied for them in 2001 alongwith me.
VO asked me about my work place, my total stay in UAE, the company name that I work for, my designation, my monthly take home salary and time of intended travel. The only document that he asked me was the bank statement. The balance was not huge and I told him that I do not keep my balance in current account. I invest them in fixed deposits, shares in Pakistan.
He asked me to pay additional fee to take finger prints of all ten fingers.
He told me that he was keeping my case open and that I would receive my passoport either with or without visa in few days. Today we got with visas stamped on them.
