Hello everyone. Marriage based application. Filed from San Bernardino, CA via NBC. Had one of the craziest experience. Made one of the most stupidest mistakes. Denied because I travelled to Canada just for 2 days without Advance Parole. Here is my timeline:

In 2016
Aug 2: PD (i485, i765, i130, i131)
Aug 30: Biometrics done
Sept 28: Interview scheduled for Oct 31
Oct 12: EAD “new card being produced
Oct 28: EAD Card received
Oct 31: Interview. CASE DENIED.
(because I went to Canada on Sept 10 for just 2 days before getting advance parole)

Nov 1: EAD card, i-131 and i485 cancelled & invalidated
Nov 3: i130 Approved (atleast cause my marriage was legit I guess)
Nov 11: Applied again from zero. Paid again. New PD (i485, i765,i131)
Nov 29: Biometrics completed again.

In 2017
Jan 10: i131 & 765 EAD case closed. (Mistake by USCIS) !!! (unbelievable)
Jan 11: Called USCIS to rectify the wrongfully closed cases. Talked to Tier 1 officer. They said they will fix it right away.
Jan 15: i765 & i131 Case re-opened for consideration.
Jan 22: i765 & i131 Case Approved
Jan 30: EAD combo card arrived in mail
Feb 2: I-485 Interview scheduled again for March 6
Mar 6: Interview given ( I took all pics again and also new medical and tax papers)
Mar 7: Case Approved. Green card in production
Mar 13: Received Green Card with 10 year expiry.

I am happy that I was able to apply twice and complete the whole thing by 7 months. I was devastated at first, but I did not give up. It was a test of patience and perseverance. Thanks for all your support. God bless.
