I485 filled: 05/2018 (married to LPR)
Interview scheduled 2 times and got cancelled on same day in 2018 and 2020.
Received EAD Combo: 11/2018
2-congressman Inquiry, 4-5 Service Requested.
1-Ombudsman - Case Assistance DHS-7001. (Use this wisely because according to my knowledge, you can only make this request for 2 times and only if your case is really outside of normal processing time. I could be wrong and sorry for that).
I guess Ombudsman - Case Assistance help me to get here today.
Interview Experience:
We had our interview on 10/05/2020 at 10:00AM and was last about 45min.
It went very smooth. Young white IO was super nice and friendly from very beginning of the interview.
She starts with i485 form and I have made 3 mistake in the form so she changed that and gave me a form to review and sign.
Question to Me:
How do you guys meet?
When I came to US and what visa?
Where do I work currently?
Question to my Wife: My i130 was already approved so she did not ask much questions to my wife.
Where do you live?
What are you doing currently?
Then she asked if I have any other documents to give so I have gave her our joint lease agreement, stock account, 401k, Car loan agreement, Car and health Insurance, Joint tax filling of last 3 year, 7 flight tickets and 4 hotel booking together. We are living together since last 3 year so we have a lots of documents and memories to share.
I was explaining and showing the original document at the same time. She also asked for new medical because it was expire since I filled before 2yr.
We showed our picture album and she only looked at random pictures and compliment us about pictures and places that we visited. We wrote picture memo right next to the picture so she was reading that. But didn’t took any picture.
She print that white paper with first option marked (case will be reviewed) and told us that as per our protocol we have to review the documents and after that you will receive your green card in 2 week.
But I received my 10yr GC in mail today of 10/15/2020. Online status has not changed since day interview was schedule. (I guess this is normal these days, just keep your eyes on mailbox or sign up for usps informed delivery).
