got visa!!!!!!!!!!
yesterday was the greatest day in my entire life as i got my visa to go to the greatest country on this earth!!
I had my visa interview at chennai at 9:30 am.I could not sleep the previous night as I was so nervous.i had nightmares thinking of a fat white man shouting at me and rejecting my application.i stayed in presidency club and then took a taxi to the embassy,i arrived at 8:45 am.immediately there was a small queue to go in and i stood there,they checked my documents for sealed envelopes and then let us in after checking our hdfc receipt.you are then led into a small room where nidian people check your file and give you a token number,my photo was not good so i took a foto there itself - cost me rs 100.after around 45 minutes they sent me to another room where token numbers flash and the visa officers sit behind bullet proof screens asking questions - then after 10 minutes i saw my token number and told me to go to counter 16 - a white man was sitting - he was asking some girl questions then i went in.

me - yes sir!
him - what will you do there?
me - i am a web programmer - my speciality is C++ programming
him - show me your resume
him - (looking at it)you have less than 2 years experience,why is it necessary for your company to send you there?
me - sir,I ma working on a project which is underway and as my company is small it will be difficult for them to hire train a newcomer as the deadlines are tight.
him - show me your client letter
me - (gave him)
him - OK,what is your highest degree
me - Master of Comp Appln
him - show me the transcripts
me - (gave him)
him - (he typed something on his computer)show me your Ds-160 form
me - (gave him)
him - (gave me a pamplet) have u read this and understood your rights and obligations?

him - ok,i am giving you the visa,it will come to you in a week.

he took my passport with him.I came out with my greatest relief in the world and said a small prayer to allah.
