On 06.11.07 in Kolkata,my husband and me got visitors visa for 10yrs with multiple entry to attend the graduation ceremony of my elder daughter.my younger daughter,who is the student of MBBS,3rd sem has also got visitors visa for 1 yr with multiple entry.

At the american center,evrything went very smoothly without any hassels.we were cery comfortable.The visa officers are very experiencedand know their job.By taking look at the application letter and forms,they clearly undersatnd every applicants intention. they ask some question to examine whether we are truthful or not.My suggetion would be that while preparing the appointment letter,you should show your strong ties to your country by giving details of your family here and any immivable assest and always be truthful.
