Green Card Approval Date
My marriage based interview was on Jan 6th in San Jose. I was given the standard answer at the end of the interview that my case needs further review and there hasnt been any updates after the interview. Looking at other San Jose cases, they have all been waiting months after their interviews without any answer.
My question is, if I get approved, lets say 8 months after my interview, what is my Green Card approval date? Is it the day when I was interviewed or is it the date when they actually approve me?
The reason I am asking is that I need to wait 3 years to file a citizenship after green card and there will be additional 8 months (approx) due to this wait. So I wanted to know if they adjust the date accordingly.
