Green Card/ H1B
I am working on my STEM OPT which is going to expire in August 2019. by the time my F1 visa is also going to expire in May 2019. My company has filed my H1 last year in 2017 but it wasn't picked up in the lottery.
I recently got married in December 2017 and my wife is a permanent resident, she obtained her green card in July 2017.
According to the resources we have found online, it will take me around 2-2.5 years to get a green card. So we are planning to ask my company to file my H1B this year also and meanwhile, we will file my green card on the bases of our marriage.
However, I really want to change my job ASAP.
What would be the best way I can maintain my visa and employment status?
