My Wife went for the interview on April 14, 2010. She had an appointment in Delhi Embassy at 9:15am. She was out of t he embassy at 10:00am. She was asked:
1. Love Marriage or Arranged?
2. Was he working in US only when he proposed you?
3. Did your parents allowed a Love affair?
4. Show me the Wedding Pics.
That's it..It was a very smooth experience for her. Although documents were not asked for. I will recommend everyone to take complete documents with them since anything could be asked for randomly. Here is a list of what she took:
1. Passport - Photocopy of First,Last Page and all pages having anything printed on them (having name and all other information)
2. Photographs - 2*2 Size, white background.
3. Confirmation page of online submitted Form DS-160 with CEAC bar code.
4. HDFC Pink Receipt. Also take a photocopy.
5. Original Interview appointment letter and one copy.
6.Form I-797 - the original Notice of Action and one copy.
7. Original Form I-129
8. Copy of Husband's Visa Page.
9. Letter from Employer to Husband
10. Original marriage certificate and photocopies.
11.Entire wedding photo album
12. Wedding invitation card.(Both sides)
13. All 36 pages of the Husband's passport.
14. Copy of the Husband's work experience letters.
15. Pay stubs(salary Slips) and income tax returns.
16. Bank Statements (last 6 months).
17. Husband's Office Snaps(Not very much needed, but I read somewhere that one candidate was given a pink slip or something since she failed to provide these.)
