H1B Approved - Hyderabad Consulate
***Thank you so much ImmiHelp and the people who shared their good/bitter experiences, these are very helpful for H1B and other visa category aspirants.***

Here are the dates for me -
OFC: July 27, 2017
Interview: July 28, 2017
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: July 27, 2017 - 9:30 AM
OFC experience was quite smooth and took only 5-10 mins for us (Me, spouse and our kid)

Docs Required:
1. Passport(Current and last expired)
2. DS-160 Confirmation page
3. Visa appointment letter
4. Kids photograph(As per US visa standard)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
- We reached by 9:30 AM and allowed to enter by security
- Very positive atmosphere during whole time in the consulate.
- Our turn came in approx. 1.5 hrs. after entering the consulate.

------- VO asked me to come forward -------
Passport and I797 was already with VO(provided by helper just before my turn)

Me: Good morning
VO: Good morning

VO: So you guys are here for H1B?
Me: Yes

VO: Where do you work?
Me: XYZ

VO: Whats your highest qualification?
Me: Answered

VO: What salary?
Me: XYZ dollars per Year (This was confusing as I was thinking for a moment to answer current Indian salary or proposed US salary, this must be US if not asked for current Indian salary)

Looked at my spouse:
VO: How long you been married?
My spouse: Answered

Looked at my Kid:
VO: How old are you?(...with smile)
Kid: 4 years

Asked us:
VO: Did you read the Pamphlet(This was given while we were waiting for our turn)?
We: Yes

VO: Good, you both must read it
We: Sure

VO: You guys are good to go, your Visa is approved
We: Thank you (...and left the counter)

Overall experience was quite smooth. Be confidant and listen carefully what VO is asking for and if you don't hear properly then don't hesitate to ask again. I experienced that VOs don't want to reject anyone, they just want to make sure that applicant is genuine and his/her documentation is proper.

Also, you may think that why to share experience but believe me, your good/bitter experience can change someone's Visa outcome, so please do share your experience here.

All the best!
