H1B, H4 Visa

Hi everyone,
I would like to share my H1B dropbox experience at Ahmedabad VFS center. This was my 1st time with dropbox application.

Security asked for my id and to leave my mobile outside. I got the token no. and was asked to wait inside. Then I entered the room and waited for about 3 minutes and my number was called in. She asked me to provide the interview waiver confirmation letter followed by DS-160, previous I797s and passports (new and old). I provide everything including previous I797 as well which she returned to me saying it’s not necessary for my application. She confirmed the phone numbers and pick up address. Then she confirmed that she has received all necessary documents and they will mail it to the embassy. I should receive my passport back within 2-3 business days or latest 10-15 days.

Here is the timeline:
July 27th, the Friday: submitted documents
July 27th: ustraveldocs status- passport being delivered
July 28 and 29 weekend
July 30 and 31 the Monday and Tuesday:
Ustraveldocs: passport still with embassy
Ceac status: application received
August 1 and 2, the Wednesday and Thursday:
Ustraveldocs: passport still with embassy
Ceac: admin processing
August 3, the Friday:
Ceac: issued
Ustraveldocs: passport recived from consular section and being prepared for delivery
Aug 4 and 5 weekend
Aug 6:
Ustraveldocs: ready for pick up AND I picked it up.
