H1B experience
thanks for immihelp, below is my visa experience.

My Visa Experience:
Visa type: H1B, H4.
OFC: 31st Dec 2015, Chennai, appointment time: 8.30.
We went little late to center as I couldn’t find the address, this OFC center is maintained by Indians.
Initially they have checked our appointment and DS160 after that we routed to 1st floor for security check and I have provided with a token. My token number was displayed in counter 17th.
In counter they have asked for my passport, taken both hands fingers and thumb reading and a photo graph, they have returned my passport with a label and stamp on my DS160(Advised to take same DS160 for interview).
This entire process has taken around 45 minutes.
US Consulate visa appointment: 7th Jan 2016, Chennai, appointment time: 9.30.
We reached to the consulate at 9.05am, they have checked our appointment time and allowed to join the queue, crowd was moderate, old age people and families with kids are given preference. They have checked our passports, DS160 and allowed for security check (don’t carry any sealed documents, phones and other restricted stuff) and then we entered into the US consulate compound and joined queue to US Consulate main building, they have sent us inside as groups and we joined queue for finger prints and photo validation and they directed to another counter where they have taken passport and validated something. Finally we entered into final interview queue.
