31-Oct (OFC) -
My OFC appointment was scheduled for 1:30 PM. I went there around 1 O'clock., join the queue for 1:30 appointment. A guy (OFC team member) was checking the passport, DS-160 and appointment letter then went inside the office, After security checks, they scanned DS-160 and pasted sticker on the back side of the passport having barcode and DS-160 number on it and also given token. Went to waiting area where a OFC person was calling token number and window number for ten-printing. I waited for 10 min and went for finger print scanning and photograph click. The officer at the window asked for passport and DS-160 confirmation page and stamped the DS-160 with date of OFC. That is it for the day and while exiting, a OFC person scan DS-160 barcode and guided to exit door.
My observation during OFC process- They were also allowing people with appointment later on the day and one who missed there appointment time. So if you reach OFC before your appointment time then just stand in the queue they may allow you inside.
01-Nov (Interview) -
My appointment time was 10 AM but I went there at 7 O'clock morning and stand there in queue for 15-20 min and went inside. After there usual security checks, went to open area outside the interview hall where consulate guys scanned DS-160 barcode and took a DS-160 confirmation page. After waiting there for 1/2 hour, entered to interview hall, again waited there for 15 min in a queue where consulate person in a window pasting token number sticker on the passport and asked to wait in waiting area. A consulate person again guided to go on a queue for finger print scanning (it was just to verify your identity whether you are the same person who attended the OFC). While waiting for interview, keep on checking display for my token for interview and over-hearing other's interviews at the different windows. Waited there for 45 mins and here it is my turn -token number N 398 counter number 38 :).
Interview goes like -
VO : Good Morning.
I : Good Morning.
VO: Who is your Client.
I : Answered xxxxxxxx
VO: How long are you with the current company.
I : xx year xxxx months.
VO: (again asked) who is you client.
I: Answered same xxxxxx (this time he was entering it to system.)
VO: Where are you going?
I : xxx (City), xxxx (State)
VO: what would you do there?
I: going to Work then started in detail but soon realized VO is not keen to listen me and typing and entering detail in system. So I stopped.
VO: What is your highest qualification.
I: Bachelor of Engneering in Computer Science.
VO: Are Married or sigle?
I: Married.
VO: Shown me my earlier B1 stamped Visa on my passport and asked how many times did you use this Visa to enter into United states.
I: Never. (Becuase I did not go to USA even I have B1)
VO: Ok. Your Visa is APPROVED :).and you will received your passport in 2-3 days at the location specified by you.
