H1B, H4 Visa

Hi All,

First of all i would like to thank this forum to prepare me for the H1-B interview.So below was my experience.I went with my dependents (wife and 6 year old kid)

21st November - Fingerprints at VAC at 2.30 P.M- Pretty normal.

22nd November - Interview at Chennai Consulate at 10.30 AM.Reached around 9.45 and got into 10.30 Queue outside Consulate.Since we were having kid along with us, we were given preference and by passed all the long Queue and got inside the consulate.

Interview :-

ME:- Good Morning mam.
VO:- Good Morning,Can i have your passport ?

VO:- Is any Third Party involved here ?
ME:- No

VO ( to my wife) :- Are you also working ?
My Wife:- Yes mam.

VO(to my wife) :- Please Explain your profile.
My Wife :- Explained.

VO (to ME) :- Can i have your I797 and Client letter ?
ME:- Given.

VO ( to my wife) :- So you have only one kid ?
My Wife :- Yes.

VO to ME:- So how long you have been working with your current employer ?
ME:- Answered.

VO to ME:- And how long with your client ?
ME:- Answered.

VO to ME:- What you will be doing at Client's place?
ME:- Explained my Job Duties.

VO to ME:- Which place you will be going in US ?
ME:- Answered.

VO to ME:- What will be your salary ?
ME:- Answered.

Then finally the Golden words came, Your Visa is Approved and here is Know your Rights Template.

Tips:- As everyone said, you need to be Confident in your posture and the way you speak.
Look into their eyes and speak.
Don't answer in the way as it looks that you have mugged up.
