H1B Visa Stamping
First of all thanks for such nice portal which help guys like me to prepare for VISA process.
I would like to share my experience. AS our company is small firm everything from feeling the form D160 all done by myself which update my knowledge about process in more detail.
So prepared list of documents and questions with the help of this portal.

Background:
AS H1B was my dream since collage days my company filled my H1B petition in 2013 itself and it got selected. After waiting for more than 2 years as I was having some personal now decided to move now. So I worried what if VO asked me about this 2 years gap after lottery selection?
So decided to go for visa stamping so took date of 23rd September as wanted to have 14 days in buffer to prepared myself. Please go through the I797 petition & form D160 twice.

Biometric interview was on 6th September (Sunday): Mumbai office
AS it was Sunday so thought there may be rushed but surprisingly I got easily parking over there although it’s not official parking.
My appointment was at 3:30 PM & I reach too early around 2:00 PM. I thought let us have Tea / Snacks.
Luckily security guy came and asked us whoever having 3:30 PM time they can stand in queue right now. So I was be in queue and at first counter I was been asked for correction form D160 for my name.
Guys please make sure about your name, DOB & passport no. At backside small café was there where I corrected it and have to pay 300 Rs.
Then I came back with correction and I was send it inside at first counter my passport got bar code at back side and then another counter took finger print and photo.
And I was out within 20 min. On same day I checked the US embassy office which is near to it. I confirmed that Pay & Park is available.

Although I took bunch of folder but during the bio metric they only asked for 3 documents.
1) Passport
2) DS160 form
3) Appointment Letter
Now the big day came 23rd September.
My appointment was at 10:00 AM but I reached around 8:30. The moment I parked car one of the guy told me you can’t carry car key as its electronic one. Immediately one of the auto driver came to me asked me whether I need locker. He asked me to seat in auto, I thought it may be bit far away. Guys you won’t believe it was hardly 50 ft away. One guy was seating in old Omni, he took 200 Rs to hold my key and gave me token for it and Auto guy took 30 Rs for this so called “long distance”.
So while going there make sure you won’t have electronic gadgets or bag to avoid all this frustration.
At 9:30 AM they asked us to stand in queue and went inside around 10:00 AM. After security checking I got the H1B rights booklet.
Then slowly we moved ahead where again our bio metric was taken.
There were no of counters and I was closely observing who is rejecting more as it was clearly audible to us.
I saw one guy was rejecting more as he rejected 4 applicants in front of me. So I was praying the god that my number should not came for his counter. Guy who was beside me also noticing same and discussed with me.
Luckily I was told to go to next counter who was foreigner and jolly person, and suddenly guy who was besides me stand in front him where I was suppose to go. Shit I have to go to in front of the Indian VO.
I waited for 10 min as he was taking one families interview, while listening I realize VO was asking lot of questions to applicant.
In those 10 min I don’t know why but to change my nervousness “I convinced myself that if I get rejection world is not going to end. We do have better opportunity over here as well and it makes me bit confident. Be confident have eye to eye contact with VO.
VO rejected that family applicant visa who was also for H1B (I guess) & called me for Interview.

Greeting done…
VO: May I have your passport?
Me: Passed it
VO: What is your company into?
Me: I explained about my company
VO: Who is your client?
Me: Its in-house project
VO: Tell me about project?
Me: Explained (Please prepare well for this).
Then he took pause for 5 min and checking something in that small screen and he went inside. Now I was worried and tense.
He came back and started again
VO: What is your highest qualification?
Me: Answered
VO: What is your salary?
Me:**$ per annul
VO: Are you married?
Me: Yes
VO: Is your wife coming with you?
Me: No
VO: Why?
Me: Explained and her job role as she is having reputed role in govt.
VO: Your VISA is “APPROVED”
Me: I was just shock and said thank you thrice to him and gave salute.

God It was my day…. Actually I was worried as my project duration was not properly mentioned and my B.E university certificate was missing in my document. But instead of that I was having bunch of folder which was huge and I intentionally kept in front of him to impressed I came in full preparation.
