H1B Visa Transfer
Hi,

I am going to India on vacation next week(9th Jan 2015) and I'll be back in next month(1st Feb 2015).

Initially my passport was stamped with H1B Visa that was valid only till 30th September 2014 through my current employer YYYY X. Before my visa expiry i.e. in August 2014, I got my H1B extension by filing with USCIS and got my H1B extension approved with my current employer YYYY X till September 2016.

After that I got selected for company D **** * and my H1B transfer for D **** * is approved in December 2014 and my employment with D **** * commences from 03/02/2015 as per latest I-797.

Now, as I am going to India. I have to get the Visa stamping on my passport to re-enter USA.

D **** * is telling to get my H1B Visa Stamping with my current employer YYYY X. i.e. they are asking to take my current Employer's I-797(which I got in August for my H1B extension).

Please let me know as I am confused because the US consulate back in India will have all our information and what do I need to tell him if they ask me about the employer D **** * I-797.Also Please let me know is there any risk if I use my current employer's I-797 for my Visa stamping.

I am totally confused here so please let me know ASAP.

Regards,
Venkatesh
