H1B_DropBox_adminprocessing
This is a late post. But I wanted to share my experience within this forum because it was v helpful during my tough time.
I went to India in oct 19 and had H1B stamping on my previous extension, was eligible for dropbox this time. Working in EVC model second stamping for the same. Timeline is as below:

Oct 9th, 2019 - documents submission, dropbox
Oct 10th, 2019- case created
Oct 10th, 2019- admin Processing
Oct 11th, 2019- last updated date changed
Oct 17th, 2019- received back passport in mail with white slip to attend interview
Oct 21, 2019- attended interview. The officer asked some basic questions, checked client letter and petition and issued 221g blue slip to upload some additional docs. Lot of documents actually including employer related docs as well.
Oct 22 , 2019- last updated date changed
Oct 24, 2019- sent documents via email as asked. Last updated changed.
Oct 28, 2019- last updated date changed
Oct 31,2019- last updated date changed
Nov 1,2019- last updated date changed

Now began my nightmare, supposed to fly back on Nov 2nd. Had to cancel tickets and ready to wait indefinitely.
No update for a long time then I enquired and found that my client’s legal time received an enquiry on Nov 4 and they havent replied even after 10 days. Got that part sorted out and then finally

Nov 4 , 2019- got email to submit passport
Nov 5, 2019-submitted passport
Nov 09, 2019- status changed to issued, last updated date changed
Nov 11,2019- received stamped passport in mail !!!PHEW

Booked tickets immediately and flew same weekend.
Now, my take from this experience. Year end vacation means lot of holidays at embassy- both at US and India. If you work for a big client with a big legal team make sure to follow up if they received any enquiry from USCIS (no other way to track) i did wrote to consulate couple of times for status but got standard replies.
So, good luck to anyone in the same boat. There’s really no way to tell how long the process takes. Apart from holidays and client verification delays , I guess embassy was pretty quick.
