Oct 2020 Interview schedule in mail
Oct 2020 appeared with family for interview

Officer asked mainly background and family-related questions. We were interviewed separately so be sure to know all the dates, travels, marriage, birthdays, etc. I had to guess some of the dates since I travel a lot and couldn’t remember what year I visited what country, etc. Overall, it wasn’t bad but any interview is potentially stressful. He asked similar questions to the spouse. Kids waited with one parent outside and didn’t come in. He said they need further review, but the approval notice date received 3 days later in mail has the same date as the interview, so the approval must have happened on the spot.

Oct 2020 card is picked up by USPS

The information beyond the “correspondence received” was not reflected on USCIS online system. I track my notices and card pick up/delivery via the USPS app. This was a great help since I knew what our mailman was going to bring and when, and rest assured nothing got lost without my knowledge. If you are in this process sign up for USPS informed delivery and also USPS mobile. This is why I know my green card has been picked up by USPS and it arrives in two days although there is no change in USCIS online status.

Wow! Looks like we are finally done. Totally unnecessary stress for years. Should’ve done it 5 years ago. I never thought the world would become so crazy and we would go through this amount of stress especially during the pandemic time.

Good luck everyone. Just be honest, tell the truth and you will be fine. Don’t listen to the president. It doesn’t make you look stupid or low IQ if you pay your taxes and tell the truth, even if it shows you are less than perfect!
