Hello everyone
My wife owes student loans, they take her tax refund every year. How should file to avoid my refund getting taken away along with hers? My accountant says it’s best if i file single, i assume it would be best if i file married filing separately but he said they will take my money as long as her name and social is attached to it.. what’s the best way to do it?
