Adjustment of Status - I-485

I've been going through the process, we already did our interview and are awaiting the results which has been about 7 months. We were told it is still in background check, while I don't have an issue waiting as I'm in no hurry as my husband and I are both working and are trying to build a steady life together.

I say trying to build a life because he has become so verbally abusive. I'm constantly crying and I think it's taking a toll on me. He doesn't want me to work or have friends or go anywhere if it isn't with him.

I do love him I'm not sure how long I can take this. He doesn't want me to use my phone and if I do he accuses me of cheating, he was never like this. He said he is going to tell immigration that our marriage is fake if o try to leave because if he can't have me to himself, then nobody can.

I don't know what to do. I wish i could disappear off the face of this earth.
