Canada Visa

I have applied for student visa (online method) and I have given my biometrics in Bangalore VFS office. I received a mail from VFS on 26th March saying the visa application is on transit to IRCC office Bangalore. After reading many of your threads I realised many have got the passport submission within 2 or 4 days. I haven't seen any student visa application so I don't know if that makes any difference. I still haven't been asked to submit passport or got may update after the last update that it's on transit. My visa application status tracked in website CIC.gc.ca has no change in the application. It's still showing eligibility and final decision as - we are still processing your request. Also it shows they don't need biometrics. Will there be any update on CIC.GC.CA or it's just pointless to look at it every 4 hours. I'm just getting worried because my college starts on May 06. Also I would like to know after biometrics submission they ask for passport submission right? Does that mean I got visa approved and if not what else process in left after passport submission and how long? Also how long do you think it takes to get student visa approved so I can book my tickets ASAP .Any input would be much appreciated. You guys are very helpful.
