HELP! CASE SENT SINCE AUGUST. NO UPDATE
Hi.
I applied for the green card and documents were received since august 10, 2020.
Everything was send correctly (form 485/130/advance parole and work authorization).
I took my husband's last name.
On Oct we received a RFE stating that they needed my birth certificate since there was none attached.
My lawyer replied, send the birth certificate and stated that we in fact submitted it since we sent the initial package. She noted i took my husband's last name and stated that the birth certificate was under my maiden name.
So far we are Jan 16th (5 months since) and i have not even received my biometrics appointment. I check on the website and all my forms state the same that they were received since august 25th.
My 485 states that they received the answer for the RFE on oct 27th and will continue to work on my case. But still nothing new has happened.
Is it normal that its taking so long for me to receive my biometrics appointment? My advance parole and my work permit? I tried calling USCIS but could not get to an agent only the automated system.
Starting to worry now.
