How does it take....
Hello everyone,

I’m a silent reader, but yet active at times.
I’m a tad bit confused, and need your help with this information.
I am or was a DACA recipient and my EAD expired June 6, 2019. So I’ve been out from work since then.

My husband of 3 years since 3/18 is filing for me. Long story short, the person that helped us prepare our paperwork; said she sent the paperwork off two weeks ago.

How long does it normally take for you to receive a receipt saying/stating they received your paperwork?
Because when I apply for my work permit and deferred Action, I would send it off (let’s say Monday of last week) and by sometime this week I would get a receipt notice of them receiving the packaging.

Is adjustment of status department different? Do they take this long to send a receipt of notification?

Thank you for time!
