How to get UPS tracking number from VAC?
Hi,
I have applied online on the Canada.ca website for a Transit Visa. Upon receiving the Passport Request letter I sent my passport along with the necessary documents and fees such as the package transmission fee using UPS to the New York City VAC. Now my transit visa has been approved and stamped into my passport. I got a notification on my tracking ID with VFS saying the return decision envelope was picked up on Friday 15th December at around 7PM EST.
However, how can I get the UPS tracking number for the label generated by the VAC? On their website they say the courier tracking information can be found on the invoice-cum-receipt (ICR) which is issued when they receive the passport. However, for mail in applications on their website they say the ICR (with the tracking number for the return UPS courier) is put into the return decision envelope itself.
Worst comes to worst, I will wait till Monday morning and contact the VAC for the UPS tracking number for the return decision envelope.
