I-130 Pending for I-485
I'm a 23 year old United States Citizen. I filed I-131 for Parole in Place for my dad(which was approved in December and my dad's PIP was approved and issued on December 20 2016) and I-130 for my dad back in September 20 2016(received on this date by USCIS) at the Jacksonville, FL USCIS center. Four months later on February 2017, I received a I-797C stating that my dad's I-130 case was transferred and was received at the YSC Potomac Service Center on February 16 2017. Does anyone have any insight on why this may have happened? Also how long it may take? Will it delay the approval of the I-130. My lawyer insists that before we file I-765 and I-485, the I-130 must be approved, to be on the safe side.
