We filed for a marriage based AOS i485 concurrently with i-130, i-765, and i-131 in Nov 2016.
We received an RFE to which we responded and had confirmation that our response was received in Jan 2017.
We have yet to receive an interview or any update for an interview to be scheduled and we are outside normal processing times.
We have gone to an Infopass appointment where we were told the only thing delaying the process is the background/name check to be cleared and is still currently pending.
Is this normal for the background check to exceed 6 months?
What is the normal processing times for background/name checks to go through and be cleared?
Has anyone else have this happened to them and if so how long did you have to wait before the background/name check was cleared?
At what point in time should we start worrying or take further action if no update has occurred or if an interview has yet to be scheduled?
