Adjustment of Status - I-485

As there is very little information about the Charlotte field office, I am hoping my post would help some of you folks. We had our family based (married to USC) interview on Wednesday 09/02. Showed up an hour before the interview but was only let inside 15 mins before our time slot. There was not much of a crowd, so security was quick. There was probably 10-12 people total and I would estimate may be 3 couples for green card interviews. The rest of them went to the other side, I am not sure what they were there for (may be naturalization). We did not wait much before the officer called us. The officer was very professional. He did not say much but was nice at the same time. Interview was face to face with a glass separator. Everything went well, and the officer did not ask us any questions except went over the I-485 yes/ no questions. All he requested from us was a copy of our son's birth certificate (we did provide a ton of documentation when we filed). I was approved on the spot and he informed me that I will receive my card in 2-3 weeks. I got home from the interview and my I-485 status changed to "ordered new card". Next day both my I-130 and I-485 changed to "case approved". I hope you all get your interview soon and wish you good luck. Here is a detailed time line.

09/03 - Both I-130 and I-485 approved
