Adjustment of Status - I-485

Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences! It's so helpful to look through the forum to find a piece of mind in times of doubts. My husband and I have been involved in this GC process for almost 3 years now. Finally, we received our interview invite for June 7 (Baltimore office). The interview went well and we were asked very standard questions such as our names, addresses, how we met, etc. We provided a wealth of evidence of our relationship and felt that our case was very strong, so we kind of expected to be approved on spot. However, after the interview the IO who interviewed us handed us a paper saying that our I-485 petition will be held for further review and that we should allow at least 120 days before contacting USCIS about our case. We felt a little disheartened… My friend and her husband got approved right away at the same office without having barely as much evidence as we had in addition to not having lived together after they got married. What are your experiences? Is it common not to be approved right away? How long does it usually take to receive a decision after this 120-day notice?
