What is the start point of the processing time for I-485? Is it the moment when I-140 was approved, Fingerprints done, EAC received?
My case is taking place at Nebraska Service center. It says that currently the processing time for I-485 (Employment-based) is 4 months.
Here my experience so far:
4/15/2015 I-485, I-140, I-765 mailed
6/8/2015 Fingerprints / Biometrics done (in Detroit)
7/9/2015 Employment authorization card received
8/27/2015 I-140 approved
So here are my questions.
How long does it take to process I-485? When does the processing time start?
I hope someone can answer. Or should I call USCIS regarding my I-485? According to processing time information at Nebraska Service center, the processing time is 4 months. If the processing time starts from the moment when I-140 is approved, then 4 months will be on December 27th 2015. Then it doesn't make sense to call yet.
