I-485 RFE
Hi ,

I got a RFE letter for my I-485 application (EB2-NIW, Rest of the World) from NBC office on April 27, 2020. My field office is Brooklyn, NY.

In that RFE they mentioned following :

"Why We Are Writing You: .........we need more information from you to make a decision on your case.

What You Need To Do: You must provide the following information in order for us to make a final decision on your case. "

They asked me to send sealed completed I-693 (Medical Examination and Vaccination Record ) , and submit evidence to establish that I maintained my nonimmigrant status in the US since my last lawful admission.

For the evidence to establish lawful status - I already submitted all I-20's, I-94, EAD cards (OPT and STEM OPT) during my I-485 application. I don't know why they asked me for these again.

For medical examination- I mentioned on my I-485 cover letter that I will submit it during the interview. But I'm not sure why they asked me to send it now.

I sent the documents to reply this RFE and now status is -

"On May 15, 2020, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485..... USCIS has begun working on your case again. We will send you a decision or notify you if we need something from you."

My question is - can anyone tell me why did they ask for medical report now and other documents that I already submitted during the initial application ? Is there any chances that they will waive my interview (because they mentioned "make a final decision on your case") ?

My timeline:
I-485,765,131 - received by USCIS on November 23,2019
Fingerprints : December 26, 2019
765,131 approval : May 4, 2019 (already received combo card)
RFE from USCIS : April 23, 2020
RFE received by USCIS : May 15, 2020 (even though they first displayed it on May 13 ,and then they changed it to May 15)

TIA
