Hi all,
I have been following this page for over 2 years now and found sanity reading everyone’s experiences.
Let me share my experience
I joined my husband’s application in January 2018. He received his GC in March 2018 while I still had to wait for my application to move forward.
Received EAD/AP combo card in May 2018
I was called for an interview along with my husband in August 2018. After the interview, the IO told me she would recommend for approval (verbally) but never gave me any paper.
Reapplied for EAD/AP in March 2019. No updates on my I-485 application until Sept 2020.
I received a call from USCIS and was asked to do medical again on Sept 2020.
USCIS officer called again and asked me to drop off the medical report to the office (NY office)
IO asked few questions and approved my case.
Got i-485 stamped on my passport (valid for 1 year). The officer said I should receive the card in a month’s time. (Fingers crossed)
