I have been in a difficult situation. I am a part-time college lecturer and have EAD pertaining to OPT. It will be expired by the end of March. However, I applied I-765 along with I-485 and got an approval notice for I-765 from USCIS today (March 23). But the problem is that the college asked me to step down from my position unless I have EAD card in hand by March 30. period. I show the approval notice but they don't care. They insist that I have to have it in hand by March 30. My question is: how many days do you guys get EAD in hand after you received the approval notice? Is there any wise method to persuade the college administrator? When I get GC then I will be promoted to a full-time faculty. If I lose this job this time and become replaced by someone else, I can't get my job back.
