I want help from guys who got 221(g) and got stamping after re-appearing.
I went for VISA interview at Chennai counsulate on 07 th Aug 2006 13:45 Hrs.Finally I reached VO counter around 16:10.
VO asked me why Iam going to US? How many times I visited before(I already visited in different VISAs like H1B, B1 and in L1B, five times).
About my present employer, etc . I answered all the questions.

Then he started asking about the project I am going to work. My US employer said it is internal project and he gave me some brief details about it. I told him whatever I got from my employer.

He asked me is there any document on the project? I gave him the proeject document and he took lots of time to check something in his PC.

He than asked me how many employees r working for this company.I told him nnn.

He asked me are all of them working in this project. I said No.

He asked me how this product is going to be marketed and whatz the marketing strategy? I told him that I got only the brief description of the project and not entire detail. So I don't know about these things.

Then he asked me do I have my employer's financial report? I gave him whatever I received from the consultsnt.

Then he asked me do I have the tax return document for the employer?

I said no.

He asked me to show photo of the employer in US. I showed him.

I had expired LIB in my passport. He cancelled me that. He did the same for my wife's and Kid's L2 too.

He took around 5 to 10 Mins and issued me a 221(g) blue paper. He stamped the date in 221(g) as 06 Aug 2006 and not as 07 Aug 2006 (the actual date I attended the interview.I was bit confused but did not ask him anything).
He asked me to bring the following:
1. US employer's Inside/Outside photos

2. Clients Inside/Outside photos where employee will be deployed.

3. Tax return document for the employer.

4. Employer's lease agreement for the work place.

5. Complete details of internal project, how many people are working on it, Market analysis for the final product, technical specifications, etc, etc...

6. Complete itinerary of services or engagements , the names and addresses of agents and the locations where the servives will be performed.

He also wrote in the same paper that wife and child need not re-appear.

I am not that clear about the point# 06. I immediately informed about this to my US employer(who filed petition for me). He said he will send these documents in 2 weeks time. It is mentioned in the 221(g) that I need to appear to a VISA counceller between 9 and 12 on any tuesday, wed or thursday.

My question is, is there a lead time, I should take to re-appear . My employer is saying, I can re-appear in 2 weeks time, once I get all the required docs from him.

Is there any chance , my VISA will be approved after submission of these papers or will they ask me to bring more documents. How should I prepare myself so that I won't have any problems during my next visit.

Thanks in advance for your help.
