Hi guys, my journey is finally over, so I thought I would give a final timeline. It's easy to say, but hold tight, it's eventually coming!
(My AOS was through Employment, interview was in Fairfax, VA)
6/28/18 - i485, i131, i140, i765 cases received by USCIS.
8/10/18 - Biometrics Appointment.
8/12/18 - i765 & i131 Approved.
9/06/18 - EAD combo card delivered and in hand.
9/24/18 - RFE for i140.
10/20/18 - RFE returned for i140. 10/23/18 - RFE received by USCIS.
11/29/18 - i140 Approved.
01/02/19 - Notice that i485 had been transferred to NBC, MO.
04/12/19 - Interview has been scheduled in Fairfax, VA, 05/30/19.
05/30/19 - Interview day.
Interview was OK. The officer went through my entire i485, a lot of yes/no questions. Asked for a copy of my lease, taxes, letter from current employer. She also asked how I got my current job, how much I make, when I entered the US, what visa did I originally come here on. Told me it could be 120 days for approval, but their was a visa # available for me.
09/27/19 - 120 days since interview, no response from USCIS.
10/01/19 - Contacted my senator as I had no response and could not make infopass through USCIS.
10/07/19 - Response from senator stating that USCIS will make a decision within 30-60 days.
10/10/19 - RFE from USCIS regarding my initial visa that I entered the US on.
10/12/19 - Response for RFE sent to USCIS.
10/30/19 - i485 APPROVED.
11/7/19 - Greencard in hand!
I hope this timeline helps someone, this page has been a great help to me! If you are waiting beyond standard waiting times, I recommend contacting your senator, I think contacting mine made the IO go faster.
Also, the final RFE and approval did not update online for me until my card was mailed, so keep calling and checking!
Good luck everyone!
