Hi we are applying for a marriage base adjustment of status. Here is our timeline:
Our application was received April 3, 2019
Biometrics appointment 5/13/19
Interview scheduled email on 7/26/19
Interview scheduled for 9/10/19
My wife is a US citizen and is a teacher. In 2015 my friends got involved in a fight and because I was present at the scene I was arrested. We were charged with assault to the third degree and breach of peace 2nd degree. However this case was dismissed. Ever since that I have not been involved in any other problems and have a clean record.
We had our interview on 9/10/19 and it went very well. We explained our situation and the officer said that since I have had no other issues with the law it was fine. At the end of our interview the officer said that she was going to recommend our case for approval but that her supervisor had to check the application over. The officer said that we would get the green card in the mail in a few weeks.
Our case is in Long Island NY. It’s been 3 weeks and I am starting to get worried. Anyone else had a similar situation? Or can anyone give me some advice/encouraging words. Thank you.
