I751/N400 Combo
Have been a reader of this forum for the last 3 years. Helped me to keep my hope.
09/26/2021: Filed I-751 application (Nebraska Service Center)
10/20/2021: Fingerprints re-used (Silence after that)
09/16/2022: Filed N400 (3-year marriage rule)
11/17/2022: Scheduled for interview on 11/22/2022 at the Cleveland Field Office. The interview letter didn't state to bring the spouse as it was only for N400, but I took my spouse.
11/22/2022: Had combo interview. Recommended for approval. I will update once I receive the notification.
The interview was at 8:00 am. Did the security check. Went inside. IO called my name. My lawyer accompanied me with my spouse. As soon we entered told the IO about the pending I751. She said she had the file. She started asking questions from the file straight away without my spouse. IO never asked to call the spouse inside. (She was waiting in the waiting room). IO asked basic questions like the spouse's name, date of birth, and address. After that IO moved to N400 - writing, reading and civics test followed by yes/no questions. IO informed that I passed the test, and she recommended both forms for approval. IO did mention that it might take a couple of weeks to get the official update. The Interview lasted for 30 mins.
While filing both I751 and N400, I submitted a lot of evidence like bank accounts, brokerage accounts, DL, pictures etc.
