I recently had the experience of getting H4visa from American consulate at Chennai. For the visa processing we need to take the index finger impression for both the hands. I got rejected for the first time as I had a small cut in my right index finger. They gave me a blue sheet and asked to comeback again another day. The lucky thing here is we dont have to get another appointement or pay any dds again. I went to consulate again after the cut was healed and got the visa.
So guys do take care of your index finger before going to the consulate for visa.
