I had my I485 interview marriage based today at Newark NJ.
Our interview was scheduled for 7:15 and we were there half an hour early, we were actually the first person but wasn't call the first, which I'm happy about it, the officer came and called people by their name, some wasnt that nice, so we got called at 8:30 and our officer was supppper nice and friendly. He just asked fee questions and asked for our marriage bona fida documents. I had tax refunds jointly for two years, 3 different leases with both our names. Bills. Health insurances. And pictures
We got them and asked if I have a copy of those, which I had. I had everything really organized and labeled. He said are you a lawyer? You're so organized and we laughed about it. At the end I asked him if I can travel with my Advanced parole? I am traveling tonight to vosit my family for 3 weeks. And he said yes. He went out and asked his supervisor too and told us yes. Go for it.
He said we should hear back in the next 2-3 weeks of our approval.
