Interview
Had my interview this week at the San Diego Location.
We arrived 45 minutes early & got called in about 5 late.
The officer was really nice and we were prepared with two binders and a photo album.

We were asked to show our interview letter & IDs
She then took our oath
My fingerprints and photo were taken.

During the interview we were never separated.
She started going over the forms we submitted and double checked. The information on it.
Our marriage is real, but I was still a little concerned about not remembering exact dayd.
Luckly no questions were asked besides the yes or no portion of the forms.
99% of the time the questioning would be something like:
“You were born in Mexico, correct?”
“You got married on ..., correct?”

Then she asked to hear our story and both my husband and I talked.
We would each add a little at a time & then she would just ask about location of a. Place we mention in our story.
“Where was your school?” ...
We have been dating for 10 years and even though we had a lot of photos, ticlets, cards,
We did not have any legal documents. Only our apartment contract.

Throughout the interview she was amazed by our story, since we met when we were teenagers.
She said she believed we were a real couple, she took some photos from our album
& gave us a 1/2 sheet of paper with a reminder to remove the Green Card conditions, after two years.

We were not Approved on the spot, not sure if denying an application at the interview ever happens.

She told us she was going to review our case and she would mail us a letter, if additional items were needed.

We were also told that we would get the Green card in the mail within 2 weeks, if we were approved.

Good luck to us & everyone else!!!

Ps. If you have your appointment scheduled at the downtown San Diego location, I strongly recommend that you
Try to find street parking. The parking lot parking cost us $50!
Since we assumed we were going to be there for more than 2 hours, we had to purchase a 9 hour parking.
