Filled for I.485 in July 26th 2019, after approval of I.140 on the basis of EB2-NIW
Local office: New Orleans
Aug 2019: fingerprint completed
Oct 2019:Received EAD and advance payroll
Dec 17th, 2019:Ready to be scheduled for interview
Mar 26th,2020: Interview canceled
On March 26, 2020, we cancelled the interview scheduled for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxx. We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.
My point is I was never scheduled for an interview at the first place, secondly I heard that they may be approving cases without interviews since the pandemic is taking its toll, is it true?
Has anyone lately received the notice why their interviews were canceled or rescheduled dates are provided in the notice?
Lastly, can they (God forbids) deny the case, my case was not marriage based or employer based.
Any suggestions or experiences?
