Interview Completed - Fairfax, VA
Hi everyone,

I had my marriage based i-485 interview yesterday in Fairfax field office.

It lasted about 25-30 mins. Our lawyer was with us but sat behind us in silence the whole time. The IO was friendly and very professional.

She first asked me for my medical and then asked for all the bonafide marriage evidence that I brought. I handed my medical and all the docs I brought: emergency contact listings, joint bank statement, car insurance, home insurance, life insurance, 401k beneficiary designations, greeting cards, photos, letter of support from friend.

IO asked us
- how we met
- how our relationship progressed
- when we met each others' parents
- if I was on OPT when we met
- was there a proposal
- who proposed to whom, and when
- where we got married
- who attended the wedding
- who owned the house we live in (my husband does)
- when I moved in with him
- She saw all the photos asked about who was in some of the pictures.

I changed employers after filing, so she updated that. Then she asked me all the security questions on I-485.

At the end gave us a white paper which said case must be reviewed. But she told us that everything looks fine and that she'll approve us. She also said that the card is produced somewhere in the midwest so it might take 3-4 weeks for me to receive it.

30 mins after the interview, my I-485 status changed to ‘New card is being produced’. But my I-130 changed to 'Interview completed and case must be reviewed' which I'm confused about. Has anyone else experienced this?
