Interview Day
Hi you all,

Firstly, I must say thanks to each and every person on this forum for their invaluable contribution. By sharing your experience you have assisted each other with not only the completion of our forms but also provided a support system for each other throughout this process.

Here is my timeline:

PD.......April 29, 2016
EAD......August 1, 2016
Interview scheduled Oct 19 for November 30 2016.

Interview Day

We arrive at location 30 mins before our first interview (we had two times, one for my eldest son (8:45) and the other for myself( 9:30)). We were checked in by a lady at the front desk 15 mins before our first appointment. We waiting for over an hour, when at 9:40 a young man came out and called my name. He escorted us to his office. When we arrived at his office he proceeded to give my youngest (already a citizen, born outside of the US) a toy to play with. It so happen to be a Star Words toy. He and my husband started to talk about the upcoming Star Wars movie (my husband is a Star War fan too). That went on a bit. He then proceeded to swear us in and simple ask us to verify and answer information on the forms. He even started joking about some of the yes/no questions on the 1-485. He then ask if we wanted to add anything else to our file. We handed him our album but he decline that he does need any photo as evidence for us. All the took was my life insurance policy (from my home country) and my husband 401k beneficiary document. He went o to explain the conditional greencard and told us to expect our card in the mail in a month. We were then escorted out. About 10 minutes later on our way to bfast I got an update "new card is being produced". On december 5, I got another update, "cases approved". On December 6, I got another update "We have mail your card".

I am so thankful that the process was a success with no RFE because I did my forms on my own. The following day I went to an interview and was immediately offered the position in my area of career. God has been good to me despite my occassional impatient periods. For all whose who are waiting be patient, joy comes in the morning.

God bless you all.
Good night
