interview, D.C. field office
I would like to share my experience about my interview this past November 10, 2016.
My PD is March 22nd. 2016. After 4 long months of my last status change, i got my interview scheduled. I was very excited and once i got the letter in the mail i started collecting all the documents required.
My interview was at 12.10 but my wife and I arrived 45 minutes earlier that day. We checked in and handed over my letter and were told to wait for my name to be called. After 15 minutes an officer called my name and we headed to his office. The officer an older man made us take the oath and started asking questions from the forms we filled out, first he started asking questions to my wife( US citizen). All questions were about our relationship and after 10 minutes talking to her he then started asking me questions mainly about my overstay, he gave lectures about me not doing the right thing about overstaying and frankly i felt very annoyed by his insinuations. He look at our photo album and made copies of our IDs.
the whole interview lasted about 50 minutes, he left the room to make copies of the documents he needed and when he came back the interview was over.
he didnt say anything about my case nor mention about making any decision at that time. he just shake my hand and we walked away.
Obviously i was not approved on the spot and therefore my status online hasnt change at all.
My question is? is this a normal procedure or did something went wrong...? my wife and I have been married for over 7 years now and had plenty of joint documents sent with our file.
I will really appreciate any help

thanks .
