Interview experience
Hello everyone!

I went to a marriage based interview in Philadelphia, PA on 5/15/19 at 8:15 am. I arrived at 8 and was seen around 8:30 am. I have been married for 10 years and have a child with my husband. As soon as we walked in the IO asked us to swear and once we sat down she asked for our ids. Next question was if I was ever arrested which I had stated no in the application because I was not found guilty but at the interview I explained this to her and gave her the court disposition (which the IO kept.) The charges were for possession of **** but like I said case was dismissed no charges. Then the she asked for my passport and I handed her the passport I used to enter the country not the passport I originally sent with my paperwork because I lost it and couldn’t renew it in time, she also asked for my sons birth certificate. Next we went over the yes/no questions and lastly she made me verify birthdate, full name, place of birth and SS#. This is all that was asked and said at the interview she didn’t even speak to my husband. I don’t remember what I asked the IO but said “once I approve your case” I figured that was a little hint that I will be approved. The IO did not give us the white paper stating a wait period of 120 days that some of you mention. Once we walked out she said I would get a 10 year GC and it should aro tuve within 30-60 days.

I have been reading a lot of y’all experiences and most will have their picture taken and fingerprints at their interview however I did not could this be cause I had completed biometrics prior to the interview? Also on the i485 form when you go to the interview and want to have something corrected the IO and you will have to sign however she did not ask me to sign the changes to the arrest question. I’m just a little concerned that not a lot of questions were asked and that I did not have to sign anything. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
