Interview Experience
We had our interview yesterday! Been reading this forum for a long time, and honestly we were expecting the worst.

Our interview was at the Detroit office. We were called in around an hour and 30 minutes late, we presumed the bad weather had something to do with the delays. Our officer was kind and efficient from the beginning. We were sworn in. She began by asking us for details on how we met, our first date, when and how we got engaged, and when and how we got married. Very simple questions. I offered to show her photos but she said it wouldn't be necessary. In fact, she didn't look at any of our evidence at all.

Then she asked if I wanted my husband to stay for the second part or have him wait outside. I said since he's been desperate to use the bathroom since we arrived I'd just meet him in the waiting room afterwards. So me and the officer just went through the details of the i485 and made any changes necessary (my SSN, phone number etc), and then the yes/no questions. All she asked for in terms of documents was my flu vaccination since I got that after my medical exam. After that, we were done!

I was SO surprised how smooth it went, me and my husband were both prepared to talk about the color of our bedroom walls and what kind of pyjamas we wore to bed! It felt like such a weight off of our shoulders. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Now we wait for the case update!

Good luck everyone, and if I had any advice now I'm on the other side, it's never going to be as bad as you think! As long as you're legitimate, they will be able to tell from not just your words, but your body language/the way you look at your partner etc. The waiting is the worst part by far!
