Hi, good morning guys. I had my interview today at Federal Plaza Manhattan NY. We got there by 8:40 am; our interview time was for 8:50 am and we were called in by 9:30. The interview last about 30 minutes. The interviewer was a young woman. From the first greeting I could tell she was kind. She asked for our stated ID and passports, then she first started her questions with me “the applicant”; asking me when was my last entry in the US, then she started asking my wife, when and where did we first met, when we started dating, my DOB, she asked how many siblings I have, if I have nieces or nephews everything with exact dates, numbers and names, the name of company I work for; where did I live before marriage and where are I’m living now, when did we move together, if we have joint documents. What and how are transactions made within the marriage account. Then she started asking me, I have an stepson, so she asked me about his school, DOB, full name, age and his father, if he pay child support or agreement, how much does he pay and how. She asked me my wife’s full name, if she got married before. Our drivers license have different addresses, I was asked why and I explained. I took a bunch of pictures since we met in 2015 and joke with her that we looked younger by that time. She stayed with 6 of them, then asked us if we have any questions, we said no. Then she print a document where it says our case is held for review, seeing that we asked her, so now what? When are we gonna know if we were approved, she said don’t worry by the time that you get to the train station you’ll receive and update on your o line account. So 30 minutes later I received the update YOUR CARD IS BEING PRODUCED.
I really hope this post help you guys! Because it did helped me to read experiences from other people. I’m so happy the wait is over. Have a great day guys.
