Interview Experience Detroit, Approved
Hey guys I want to share with you my interview experience in Detroit. My PD is May 27 2016.My wife and I reached Detroit field office at 12:45pm on Wednesday 21st sept. Our appoint was at 1:35pm. We checked through security and were told to sit and wait for the IO to call us in. We waited for about 30 minutes and a tall 30 something man called my name. I got up with my wife and proceeded to his office. Before we sat down, he asked us to raise up our hands and swore us in to tell the truth. Then he asked us to sit down. He then started to go through my wife's I130 petition asking her her name, parents names, and my birthday plus her birthday, and where she was born. He also asked her her SS number, street address, and whether we stay together, then it was my turn, he got my I485 and asked my name, address, birthday, my wife's bday, when we moved to our new address. Then we went through the yes/no quetsions. After that he randomly asked how and when we met, my wife answered. And asked when I came to the states and I answered him, and asked when we got married, my wife answered him. He asked where and how many people were at the wedding, I answered that question. Then he asked whether we had any kids, He then asked to see evidence that show we leave together, he asked for our album, he looked through it. We then gave him a joint lease, joint bank account, joint tax returns and he didn't want to see the rest like our phone bill, car insurance and tickets for our trip to LA next week.then he asked us if we know about conditional residence. We said we have read about it. He then made us sign the form that we will have to file the form to remove conditions. He then told me that he will approve my case that day or Friday (today) he then told us the green card will come in the mail in 2weeka time. He led us out and told me to keep my eyes on the mail. Today morning my status changed to NEW CARD IS BEEING PRODUCED.The IO was very nice person, didn't smile through the interview, he was professional and soft spoken. Above all, the entire interview lasted only 15 mins and we were out. But before we went, we prayed to God for favor and and a good IO. Please pray for your papers. I came last year in May on a B2 visa and met a girl and got married. God bless you all and good luck.
