Hi All! This might sound like a stupid question but I want to be absolutely sure. Even though my I-693 was valid (until July 17th, 2021) - I went ahead to get an updated I-693 just to be sure that I have everything. I have an updated and signed I-693 in a sealed envelope (signed by civil surgeon on June 14th 2021). Our interview was originally scheduled for June 18th but on June 17th, it was declared a federal holiday to observe Juneteenth - so the USCIS office was closed and our interview was rescheduled.
The new interview is in the first week of August. I was expecting an RFE as my original I-693 will expire on July 17th. Just got this RFE letter saying:
'A review of our records shows that you need to provide the requested information and/or documents. Please bring the requested information to your I-485 Adjustment of Status interview on this date XX, XX, XXXX.
Please visit USCIS website for instructions as to how to correct the form I-693. The completed and updated Medical Examination and Vaccination Record must be returned in a sealed envelope.'
Couple of Questions:
1. Letter states to bring the I-693 to the interview and then goes on to say 'must be returned in a sealed envelope'. Am I supposed to send it in mail or just take it with me to the interview? (Interview scheduled for first week of August)
2. At the time of interview, my sealed I-693 will still be within a 60 day period since being signed by civil surgeon. I think it should be good to be submitted per the information on https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-4#footnote-22
Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks everyone! All the best for your journeys!!
