Adjustment of Status - I-485

After waiting for several months today was my interview. However in the area where I live it's very dry, barely any rain in the whole year. Then turns out that TODAY there was a mass flooding only in the city where the interview would take place. I called my lawyer she said they might reschedule my interview and it would take another 4 months to get an appointment. I wanted to cry so much I didn't know what to do. What a luck! I called her several times and she said she was 95% sure they would reschedule it, from past experiences. I didn't know what to do but my mom convinced me to go anyway just to have peace of mind. It was an hour drive. As we drove we saw many cars flooded and accidents and police and I just knew she was right. I wanted to take an exit and turn back but everything was flooded. I just kept going. We made it to the building and turns out they were not closed!!!! I called my lawyer and she rushed to the building too.

The officer was super friendly. She only went through our paperwork and the only personal questions she asked were how we met and when we met. It took like 15 mins. She said that we'll receive the card in 9 days. (maybe a little later).
Overall, 9 months from start to end of application, marriage based.
